Aka street tango

A return to something we did during the Summer months of our early years of teaching in Astoria…

We would take to having evening practicas out in public spaces - a great excuse to get out during the long light and often fair weather evenings to dance on the street & share with the public a little impromptu street tango!

This is our way of honoring a return to asphalto.

Plus, we’ve been teaching for 10 years.

That’s worth commemorating!

Special thanks to Andee at Breakside in Astoria for coordinating with us! 

We are bringing these 3rd Thursday Practicas to a public space where dancers may join in a couple hours of dancing (or more as needs must) and where the tango-curious and/or dance and art lovers may delight in having a little social dancing in a fond locale.

It is our hope to encourage our tango friends from near and far for some Summer dancing out of our usual ballroom environs to the wild public spaces!

Please note: Our regularly scheduled Thursday Practicas at the AAMC ballroom will happen as planned on all other weeks besides these 3rd Thursdays in Summer.
